Applications that use the RDK require a copy of the RDK .DLLs to be installed with the application. These .DLLs are listed in the current README.WRI file that is installed with the RDK. This file also contains necessary instructions for setting up an installer for your RDK application.
In order for the RDK .DLLs to function on the machine where they are installed an RDK Distribution License needs to be purchased from Palisade Corporation. This license provides a serial number and keycode which is then used in authorizing the .DLLs on the machine where the application is installed. The process for authorizing the .DLLs is the same as was previously described for authorizing the RDK itself.
If the RDK application is to be used in a networked environment a network license for the RDK .DLLs can also be purchased from Palisade Corporation. This license is only authorized on the network server where the application is installed. A network license allows a specified number of concurrent users of the RDK application on the network.
For information on the .DLL files required for applications which use the BestFit Developer's Kit, see the BestFit Developer's Kit manual.
