Authorizing Applications Which Use the BDK

Applications that use the BDK require a copy of the BDK .DLLs to be installed with the application. These .DLLs are listed in the current README.WRI file that is installed with the BDK. This file also contains necessary instructions for setting up an installer for your BDK application.

In order for the BDK .DLLs to function on the machine where they are installed an BDK Distribution License needs to be purchased from Palisade Corporation. This license provides a serial number and keycode which is then used in authorizing the .DLLs on the machine where the application is installed. The process for authorizing the .DLLs is the same as was previously described for authorizing the BDK itself.

If the BDK application is to be used in a networked environment a network license for the BDK .DLLs can also be purchased from Palisade Corporation. This license is only authorized on the network server where the application is installed. A network license allows a specified number of concurrent users of the BDK application on the network.
